What a Crew Chief does on a daily basis:
Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice As a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice, you’re not only responsible for the condition of the
Air Force’s flying fleet, you’re responsible for the safety of our flying team. Your job is to see that your aircraft
are in operationally ready condition – performing scheduled inspections, functional checks and preventive maintenance
both before and after flights, and ensuring that the aircraft has been properly serviced with fuel, hydraulic fluid and liquid
oxygen. A Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice performs general maintenance and repairs for all parts of the aircraft,
calling for the necessary specialists if and when a malfunction is detected.
